Who could have predicted that a Tuesday would turn into an extraordinary day of blessings? The Lemonade Circle found itself at the heart of a surprise that left us in awe and gratitude.
On a chilly Tuesday evening, our founder, Brandi and her husband attended the Holiday Party hosted by SVPSA (Social Venture Partners San Antonio). Little did I know that The Lemonade Circle would be standing shoulder to shoulder with four other exceptional nonprofit organizations—Celebrate Dyslexia, Students of Service (SOS), Culturingua, and The Dee Howard Foundation.
As the night unfolded, the remarkable Executive Director of SVPSA, Becky Bridges Dinnin, took the stage alongside their outstanding board of directors. It was then that the room was electrified with the announcement that each of the five organizations, including The Lemonade Circle, would be receiving an incredible $10,000 check. A wave of gratitude and disbelief swept over us.
But the magic didn't stop there. In a true-to-life Oprah moment, Marilu Reyna, representing the FirstDay Foundation, stepped forward and presented each organization with a matching $10,000 donation. Yes, you read that right—$20,000 on a Tuesday!
This unexpected windfall of support empowers The Lemonade Circle to continue our unwavering commitment to our mission. We will pour our hearts into empowering young women of color in our community, stirring up positive change and creating ripples of impact that resonate far beyond that unforgettable Tuesday.
