Taking Flight: Lemonade Circle's Exciting Aviation Event

We had an absolute blast at the Lemonade Circle's epic aviation event last Saturday. The girls got to spread their wings and experience the thrill of flying drones, checking out real airplanes and military vehicles, and even taking part in a paper airplane challenge. It was a day packed with adventure and fun that we won't soon forget. We want to send a huge shoutout to everyone who came out and made this event one for the books!

Gratitude to Amazing Sponsors: We want to give a big shoutout to our incredible sponsors, The Boeing Company and Valero Energy. Thanks to their support, The Boeing Company funded the FIRST STEM Summit, allowing the girls to dive headfirst into the exciting worlds of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. And Valero Energy? Well, they spoiled us with a mouthwatering lunch catered by the one and only Chef Vinyette Montrice Ervin. Our tummies were definitely happy campers!

Hosting Heroes and Awesome Contributors: We can't thank St. Philip's College enough for hosting our event. They provided us with the perfect space to let our aviation dreams take flight. And a special shoutout to the University of the Incarnate Word's Ettling Center for Civic Leadership for hooking our girls up with those cool backpacks. They're all set for their next adventures!

Inspirational Speakers Who Rocked: We had the pleasure of listening to some truly inspiring speakers at our event. We're sending a big thank you to Pamela Jackson from Valero, Jennifer Emelogu from Circulate App San Antonio, Alicia Rogers, a technology consultant, and Dr. Kelly Nash from UTSA. These amazing individuals shared their knowledge and passion, igniting the fire within our girls and showing them what's possible in the world of aviation and STEM fields.

Teamwork Makes the Dream Work: An event like this takes a village, and we are so grateful to everyone who played a part. Our heartfelt thanks go out to our dedicated staff, volunteers, participants, and parents who contributed their time and energy to make this aviation extravaganza a soaring success. And let's not forget our rockstar Lemonade Circle Directors, Ellen Cook (STEM Director) and Bre'Ana Barron (Lit Circle Director). These ladies led the charge, keeping everything organized and ensuring everyone had a blast.

Kudos to Amazing Organizations and Businesses: We couldn't have pulled off this event without the help of some fantastic organizations and businesses. Geekdom and The DoSeum, you guys rock for providing additional resources and support that made our event even more amazing. And a big shoutout to JordyLolo Events for making everything look stunning with their beautiful decorations and STEM-themed backdrop. Last but definitely not least, a sweet thank you to Beyond Blessed Bakery for those mouthwatering cupcakes that had everyone drooling. And let's not forget our friends at Next Day Custom Tees for being a part of the fun too!

The Lemonade Circle's aviation event was a total blast, giving the girls an unforgettable taste of the sky-high excitement that comes with aviation. We want to express our deepest gratitude to all our sponsors, hosts, speakers, and everyone who helped make this day one for the record books. Together, we created memories that will stick with us forever. Here's to many more incredible events that inspire, empower, and show us that the sky's the limit!
